Preferred Mechanical did a great job. I chose 18 SEER heat pump Amana to save on electricity in a long run. And so far I'm very happy with my decision. Guys did a great job installing it too. Happy customer here!
The last technician that came out was very thorough! He retrieved my owner's manual that 2 previous techs left in my attic. He also did a thorough job inspecting my a/c, inside and out. He cleaned the outside unit and checked the drain. He neatly returned my hose. Lastly, he told me about a surge protector available for the outside unit. If it is struck by lightning, the bolt should hit the protector and not the unit. If the unit is damaged, I'm covered with more than enough coverage to repair or replace. I was very pleased to have the added protection that wasn't recommended previously. All in all, it was a successful maintenance visit. Very pleased.
I called early on a Sunday. They had a tech here in around two hours. The problem was a capacitor preventing my compressor from running. Very honest and fair.
Derrick came out within 2 hours of my initial call, and he easily had an hour drive from where he was coming from. Not only did he quickly find the issue with just some corroded wires, but he explained several other potential issues and things to be watching out for. He even answered questions I had about newer systems, and now we're most likely going to be using them for a system replacement at another house we just bought. Great company and great people.
